This is a list of things that I am actively seeking out more information about. Some are related to vintage computing, others are a bit more general (electronics, the web, etc.) If you're curious what physical items I'm in search of, I keep a wishlist here, mostly for keeping track of what I'm after. If you have information, a tip, or can point me in the right direction on anything listed here, please don't hesitate to get in contact with me.CGRS System 6000. Do you own one? I'd like to hear about it. David Brader's Kompuutar (from Byte November 1977, page 94) -- this is a rare bird! Attempts to get in contact with Mr. Brader have been unsuccessful thus far. Apart from the original article, only one addendum makes reference to it elsewhere in print. Software for the Ohio Scientific 440 video board (besides OS65V, BASIC, or this 1K alphabet demo as found in Ohio Scientific's Small Systems Journal, Vol 1, No. 2, page 20. Mystery Blue Paper Tape Reader & Punch. I've got this weird short production run unit that isn't documented anywhere online, save for modern reverse-engineering efforts. I know a physical set of documents exists for it somewhere, but I have never seen a full scan, nor viewed it in person. We've been able to work around the limitations of its absence, but it'd help quite a bit to find the original paperwork. GRiD 1530 schematics and/or service documentation Commodore VIC-1510 Monitor. It's just a rebadged BMC. Was it ever actually produced, or was it just listed in VIC-1001 ads in Japan? If you have a concrete answer you can back up, I want to hear about it. QMS 800 KISS Laser Printer (rebranded HP) - we're not precisely sure on that model number, but that's the current guess. We had one when I was a kid, and finding information on it has been a real challenge. Westinghouse 1600 terminal documentation/information Apparently the only pictures that exist of one were taken by me. Miranda Kaleido K2 user manual, service manual, K-Edit layout software DPS-220 TBC/Frame Sync manual FOR.A VP-380 Video Pointer schematics Schematics for the Knox RS16x16 composite video router. Sanders 720 terminal and keyboard Around 2004, I remember discovering a sprite comic in my travels around the internet. The main characters were Samus, Link, and Megaman, 2 of whom were roommates. I don't even remember if it was any good, but I can't figure out the name of the comic for the life of me. It was similar in format to Planet Zebeth I'm looking for an archived version of a flash animation from madblast.com from late 2004. I think it was from Halloween, repeating "clowns are scary" over and over in various distorted voices. Poorly animated clowns went back and forth across the screen. I made an audio recording of it back in the day. I'm not 100% certain that this was the URL of the page (archived via the Wayback Machine): http://www.madblast.com/view.cfm?type=FunFlash&display=3148 Here's the flash file itself, sadly not archived: http://i.madblast.com/funflash/swf/clowns_final.swf Is it a good cartoon? Hell no. I still would like to find it. If you have ever run a Subspace Continuum server, I'd like to hear from you. Especially if you know about writing game automation script bots needed for more complex gameplay features. I used to play on T3: The Gauntlet! regularly from 2003-2008, and I have an archive of game map files. I'd like to try reviving such a server, but I need more information first. |
